What is CAPI/CATI market research?

CAPI – Computer Aided Personal Interviewing – is a tool that allows the researcher to capture responses on a device during face to face interviews and directly input these into a central system. Similarly, CATI – Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing – permits the researcher to read the questions from a screen during a phone interview and input the answers into a database ready for analysis.
